Pair
of early American Vaseline jars. The Americans started using external screw
stoppers much earlier than we did in this country and these probably date to pre
1930.
They are both marked to the front: VASELINE, CHEESEBROUGH, NEW-YORK. The smaller of the two also has TRADE MARK across the front.
They measure 8cm and 6cm tall and are both in good condition. The larger of the two has a manufacturing blemish on the rear, but this cannot be seen on display.

Very old genuine unpolished brass double tap and spile. These were used with the old style wooden beer barrels, when the bung was removed and the tap and spile (spiky bit) was knocked into the hole to allow the beer to be drawn off. This is a double, so it supplied two hand pumps. They have maker's initials on the taps. I have several of these available.
It is approximately 21cm long.
